Deputy Permanent Secretary (Temp) Ms. Candace Young

Miss Candace Young has been employed in the Public Sector since 1993. In the first instance at the First Citizens Bank (FCB) and then the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC). 

Miss Young, then transitioned to the Public Service in 2008 as a Human Resource Practitioner and has worked in the -;

Personnel Department of Trinidad and Tobago,

Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago,

Integrity Commission and,

Tobago House of Assembly (THA).  

In the Private Sector, Miss Young, has also held the position of Human Resource Manager at the Radisson Hotel, Trinidad.

Miss Young possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick, Canada and a Masters of Science in Human Resource Management (with a concentration in Compensation Management) from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business.

Her personal mantra is ‘to thine own self be true’ and her favourite past time is listening to all genres of music. The name Candace is derived from the bible in Acts 8:27 -39 “A, Candace, queen of the Ethiopians.”
