Permanent Secretary Natalie Willis

Ms. Natalie Willis joined the Ministry of Labour and Small Enterprise Development on August 02, 2017 as Permanent Secretary (Ag.) having served as Deputy Chief Personnel Officer (Ag.) at the Personnel Department from October 2015 to July 2017 and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Ag.) at the Ministry of National Security from October 2013 to September 2015. At the Ministry of National Security, she had responsibility for the Defence Force and Protective Services including the Cadet Force.

Permanent Secretary Willis served assiduously for 21 years in the Personnel Department. Entering as a Personal Technician in the then Classification and Compensation Management Division, Ms. Willis ascended to the position of Director, Human Resource Management (Ag.) and subsequently as Director, Human Resource Management, Human Resources Management Service Division. In the latter Division, she had responsibility for Public Service wide initiatives such as the Performance Management and Appraisal System, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and the Guidelines for managing HIV/AIDS in the Public Service.

Ms. Willis was previously employed at Service Commission Department from 1990-1994. Before departing the Service Commission Department, she was the Research Officer with responsibility for the placement of Government Scholars.

Since 2015, Ms. Willis has been a member of the Public Service Examinations Board; and from 2009 has served on Tender Evaluation Committees to evaluate tenders related to the Provision of Consultancy Services for various sectors of the Public Service.  She has also served a member of the Cadet Force Advisory Committee.

Ms. Willis possesses a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Language, Literature and Social Sciences from the University of the West Indies.
